The TALK that has permeated the South African marketplace this year has been “solid signs of growth of the Manufacturing Industry”, with government committing “to address the decline over many years of our manufacturing capacity, which has deeply affected employment and exports.”

Welcome to our first newsletter of the year. 2017 certainly kicked off on a positive note and we have seen a lot of activity in the marketplace. Embrace Version 14 has taken our Embrace community by storm and our cover story explains why.
Currently implementing the latest version is Astore Keymak, a member of the Hudaco Group, and we take great pride in presenting a case study on how they embrace enhanced performance, profitability and growth!
Our special feature explores how Astore Keymak, along with many other businesses who do not need a complex MRP solution, simplifies the process with the Embrace “Kitting” solution.
On a personal note, my highlight of the year to date, has been a visit to “Techdom”, to meet and interview the young, creative and dynamic members of our Embrace Technology Team. Tapping into their vision, we were able to discover more about the revolutionary technologies the team are researching, developing and implementing which will accelerate Embrace to the forefront and we take pleasure in sharing this interview with you on page 6.

The year kicked off with our special 30th Anniversary celebration, at Montecasino, “An Audience with Pieter-Dirk EISH – “Celebrating 3 Decades” and what an amazing and entertaining evening that was! Write-ups and pictures were featured in the local press; in fact, ACS-Embrace has made at least 10 press appearances this year!
We take great delight in sharing excerpts from Steve’s speech as well as other special moments shared at this momentous occasion. By popular request and in preparation for the imminent release of Embrace Version 14 our special feature unpacks the UAT process.

These are routines that facilitate site-specific customisations without affecting the standard programs and its features. We are pleased to announce that ACS has launched Embrace QuickStart! The difference is in the implementation methodology. Embrace QuickStart is ideally suited to smaller enterprises.
